Progress on the Purple Line
Monday, June 18, 2012 5:01 PM   Construction of a stoplight along Purple Line

We're making steady progress on the Purple Line (Southeast Line). Another traffic signal along the line is active at the University of Houston entrance #6.

The Purple Line will have 11 stations, starting downtown and traveling southeast along Capitol and Rusk to the Palm Center near MLK and Griggs. This 6.6-mile line runs through one of the city's oldest African-American communities and links to Texas Southern University and the University of Houston.

Check out our Facebook page and see more pictures.
