Montage from Union Station celebration

If you missed METRO's gala celebration last Monday of the two groundbreaking ceremonies (Southeast and North corridors) and the finale at Minute Maid Park's Union Station, check out our documentary.

Highlights of all three celebrations are featured in a 30-minute documentary, airing every night this week through Friday. It's on HCCTV, Comcast's Channel 19 at 6 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m.

If you don't subscribe to Comcast, you can view it here on our Web site.

Notable speakers include Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Congressman Gene Green, Congressman Al Green, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Mayor Bill White.

METRO Chairman David Wolff emcees the event - and tells what we need to do if we're going to build a transit system as extensive as the light-rail system in Dallas.

Plus, you'll get to see a life-size model of our new CAF train.

DominicMazoch,

You will keep seeing them if the Urban Rail Robber Barons at METREAUX get their way.

According to a letter from the FTA, they are going to use these vehicles on the new commuter rail route to Sugar Land that they will soon be ramming down taxpayer's throats.

METREAUX got a TXOAG Letter Opinion that allowed them to redact all this information from a study which they were ordered to release to the public.

Typical METREAUX transparency.

Does anyone have a break down of where all of the New Flyer Viking buses are located by bus number and BOF?  I can't seem to completely figure it out, since Fallbrook has some of the low 4700s and also some of the last 4700s and 4800-4803.  I noticed that Hiram Clarke has some 4720s-4770s.  Where does that leave Polk garage?  I also find it crazy that only three BOFs have the 4700 series buses and Northwest, West, & Kashmere don't.  By the way, I am so so glad that Polk garage finally has another type of P&R ride bus other than those old 4700s!  Why in the world did Polk get left out when it came to P&R buses.  Out of all the P&R buses (1400-1599 Neoplans, 2700s Ikarus buses, 3700s Neoplans, 4400s Neoplans, & 4800-4999 MCIs) that there were about 1-2 years ago, they only managed to have the 4700s!  Why?
