Send Your METRO-related Ike Photos
Thursday, September 18, 2008 5:05 PM

Joe Garcia distributes waterA blog reader wrote us, saying he/she had photos of METRO rescuing stranded residents in Webster.

If you have photos of METRO-related hurricane photos, we'd love to see them.

Click on "contact us" in the left-hand navigation bar and send it as an attachment. We'll post the best photos, along with a photo credit (username or real name - you tell us what you prefer).

Your photos will be up on this blog, and on another page on our Web site under the "Community" section.

We want to see how you, our customer, experienced the storm or what you were able to capture, as long as it's METRO-related. What METRO-related scenes are you currently running across in the mop-up operations?

The photos posted here were taken by Ernest Chou, METRO's senior community relations rep. The photo above  is Joe Garcia, community outreach rep, who helped distribute water to employees yeterday. Below is Leticia Gonzalez, associate vice president of corporate development.  METRO employees without power were given ice and water.

Whether it's a damaged METRO sign or tree limbs blocking a bus stop - send in your photos.

I took my camera yesterday when I rode first the Hiram Clark then the RAIL BUS downtown.  Then I rode the Kirby home. All seems well.  We be coming back. I did not take any pictures, didn't see anything worthwhile.  It hurts to see injured trees.
