Adding Midday Service to Commuter Lots

METRO is continuing its regular service today, but adding midday service on the following routes to the Park & Ride lots: 261 West Loop; 262 Westwood; 265 West Bellfort; and 297 Southpoint/Monroe.
The buses on these four routes will run every hour on the half hour starting at 10:30 a.m.
So you can catch a bus at 10:30 a.m., 11: 00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12 noon, etc. until the routes begin normal rush-hour service.
If you need special assistance evacuating, please call the city at 311.
Hurricane Ike is on a course to make landfall near the Galveston/Houston area on Saturday morning. We should start feeling the effects as early as tomorrow.
METROLift will stop service at noon on Friday, Sept. 11. On Friday, we will provide service only to those who need to go to life-sustaining or medically essential appointments.
No METROLift services will be provided on Saturday, Sept. 13 or Sunday, Sept. 14. We expect to resume services on Monday, Sept. 15. The Reservation Center will open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, to make reservations for Monday, Sept. 15.
