Well there we go! That must be why Andy is never available to answer calls or in his office.

Glad to have that cleared up.

Barbara,

The hybrids are primarily used on the routes that start at the Polk Garage on the east side of town. If you're looking for them, there's almost always one on the 40-Telephone, 42-Holman, 68-Braes Bayou, 88-Hobby Airport, 20-Long Point/Canal, 36-Lawndale/Kempwood, 26/27-Outer/Inner Loop, 30-Clinton/Cullen, 73-Bellfort Crosstown, and 50-Harrisburg/Heights.

There's a few on the West Garage as well, like the 131-Memorial Express, 132-Harwin Express, and 25-Richmond. You might occasionally see one on the 82-Westheimer and the 53-Briar Forest, but that's a bit more rare.

Actually, the hybrids are being used quite a lot on the 53, but they're all mostly out of Polk Garage.

No mention was made of which route the Mayor was on.

Looks like it was a night unless the picture color is out of whack.  I wonder how he liked that rock he was sitting on?  Those seats are so hard I get a back (and bottom) ache from them.

Henry,

The Mayor's on the 20-Long Point to Northwest Transit Center. This entry is kind of an addendum to the previous one announcing that he was going to do it.

ChloeMireille,

Don't forget the 77-Liberty/MLK.  Polk is the only garage with the new hybrids that run that route.  Kashmere also runs that route but they have no new hybrids.

F.Y.I., I know how many of the new hybrid buses Polk has and how many West has.

Polk:  3550-3569 (20).

West:  3570-3579 (10).  When that "Signature Service" starts next year, the 10 remaining new hybrids from New Flyer will arrive and IIRC, they'll most likely go to West.

My two cents on the matter.
