Like the Maytag Repair Guy....Seattle's Maintenance Crew Has Little to Fix on its Hybrid Buses
Monday, April 30, 2007 3:27 PM Seattle has the nation's largest fleet of hybrid buses powered by GM Allison with 232 buses on its roads. It's the same system METRO is using.

If you want to find out more how King County Metro Transit Agency (which includes Seattle) likes its hybrid buses, click this link for an 8-minute clip. It's produced by GM Allison so, of course, there's nothing negative. Still, it's interesting to hear the Seattle transit guys talk about how the motor oil looks like virgin oil and how there's no noticeable wear on the drive unit after hundreds of miles.

Actually, there are now TWO Maytag repairmen....the older guy and the younger partner.....

But if it helps the guys...and gals at the Kashmire and other BOF's work on more buses per persson or hour, the better.
